The Amsterdams

The band formed in 2006.
Automatic EP - their first studio release (2008), receives positive reviews and airplays in UK. The band is invited to play all big music festivals in Romania and Europa Vox Festival 2009 Edition in France.
In May 2009 the Amsterdams release independently their first LP, Adolessons. Singles: Chased By The Housewives (video), Fireworks, Laika, Apple (video), Academy Of Broken Hearts.

Adolessons is supported by MTV Romania.
Beginning of 2010, the Amsterdams go on an extended Romanian tour. Mid spring, they release a new video for the song Apple.

May 2010, the band is invited by Dan Boeckner to support Wolf Parade's first lenght of their 2010 European Tour.
 
July 2010, The Amsterdams open The Cranberries concert in Bucharest in front of a 10.000 audience.

 

The band's new single, Coalmine, features on BBC 6 Fresh on The Net show. The Amsterdams new album, ELECTROMAGNETICA is promoted in UK as the bands plays a couple of shows in Edinburgh, Glasgow and London. Later on, "Apologies" is played on Steve Lamacq BBC6 Music show.

A couple more tracks from the album are aired on Preston FM, Leith FM and other online, community and college radios around UK.
 
ELECTROMAGNETICA - independent release, mixed and produced by Electric Brother and The Amsterdams, except for "This Burial Ground's For Two" - mixed by Arlen Thompson and "Telescope" and "Three Is A Crowd" - mixed by Ovidiu Beyan.
